The JobWe are looking for a Senior Data Analyst/Steward to drive our Data Governance efforts. You will join a small team of Data Stewards/Analysts (a mix of direct and dotted-line reports), own, enhance and update Data Governance processes and standards, understand company needs, own and execute critical projects on our Data Governance roadmap. Specifically, this role will own our critical initiative to create a best in class metrics program and culture.Data insights are a critical component of Omnidian’s value proposition, and having data that is accurate and consistent both in perception and reality is fundamental to our success. Our business is rapidly growing, and we need a strong Data Governance program to support our company’s growth. This role sits within our Engineering department and will report directly to our Data Governance Manager.

What You'll Do
- At Omnidian we believe in trust and autonomy. How you create an impact is ultimately up to you. Here is an outline of some of the things you’ll be doing: Own and lead critical data governance projects (25% of time)
- Own critical data projects such as our critical metrics program including project management and communication
- Mitigate risks and clear blockersCollaborate cross functionally to drive initiatives Data steward (50% of time)
- Own, provide education for and maintain centralized data documentation such as Conceptual Data Model, Physical Data Model, Data Flow Documentation, and Data Mapping Documentation
- Act as Data Steward for data that is central/critical to Omnidian’s business (Examples: data retention, legal/audit requirements, business terms, data subject requests, access requests, etc.)
- Ambassador for data governance to the business area
- Data quality monitoring, tracking, alerts and runbooks Data analyst (25% of time)
- Securely pull ad-hoc data from appropriate sources as needed by the business
- Create reports and dashboards for the business
- Work with BI Team to ‘productionalize’ reports and dashboards you create
Who You Are
- Data Governance Expertise: You have in-depth knowledge of Data Governance processes and standards.
- Data Analysis Experience: You are comfortable working with and visualizing data in both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Leadership Abilities: You possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to provide mentoring cross-functionally.
- Communication: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Value Creation: You understand business needs, users, technology, and data, and collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver data foundations that provide business value.
- Problem-Solving: You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
Experience You’ll Need
- 3+ years of Data Governance experience.
- 3+ years of data analysis experience.
- Expertise in Data Governance processes and standards.
Experience That's a Plus
- Experience in the clean energy industry.
- Experience with Salesforce, Databricks, Sigma or RDS.
- Experience supporting Data Governance with both manual processes and with tooling (such as Informatica or Collibra).
