Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Revenue Cycle, the Principal Admin Analyst functions as a lead supervisor of the Extended Business

Office/Training Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the performance of the Extended Business Office, Coordinating training materials and documentation, and managing the delivery of training. He/She should possess all of the skills of the staff. Major responsibilities include assigning work as determined by the Manager on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. He/she must re-delegate work assignments as necessary. The supervisor will review work of staff in unit for accuracy and completeness, and he/she monitors each individual's production.  Prepare reports to present to manager reflecting the status of each of these work variables for each staff member. Make recommendations to collections manager to improve individual's performance and recommendations that improve technologies, processes, etc. Develop and maintain written procedures and correspondence to third party payers.  The supervisor should assist in training and should be familiar with all duties of staff so that during unscheduled or scheduled absences he/she may assume the work responsibilities of each desk.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of Revenue Cycle processes, expertise in billing, coding, insurance claims and patient accounts. 

Leadership abilities, experience managing teams, training staff, and resolving conflicts. 

Communication skills, strong written and verbal communication for interacting with staff, clients and patients. 

Analytical skills; ability to analyze key performance metrics and implement improvements.
