The Material Handler is a key player in the smooth operation of our onsite warehouse. In this role, you will oversee every aspect of material management, from picking production order materials and processing material issues to delivering essential parts across departments. Success in this position requires a solid understanding of FIFO principles, SAP proficiency, and strong computer skills. As part of the shipping and receiving team, you will ensure the timely processing of incoming materials. We are looking for a candidate who excels in a team setting, is a natural problem-solver, and can work independently with minimal supervision. What You Will Do:

• Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for accounting and recordkeeping purposes
• Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins
• Receiving data entry and cycle counting duties as assigned
• Complete all documents completely and accurately in the computerized tracking system
• Drive plant performance through safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics
• Keep work area clean and organized to facilitate process flow improvements
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications You Must Have:

• A minimum education requirement of High School Diploma or GED is required
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
• Have experience operating a computer and using inventory software
• Must be able to be certified to operate material handling equipment - fork lift, cherry picker, power industrial lift/jack and become crane and hoist certified
• Performs work in a safe manner and completes all required safety trainings
• Must have the ability to work any shifts and overtime including weekends
