Data Engineer

Our aim is to empower clients with a competitive advantage by unlocking the true value of data and AI to create meaningful, actionable and timely business.</p> <p> </p> <p><b> You will get the chance to:</b></p> <ul> <li> <p>Design and develop data storage solutions;</p> </li> <li> <p>Create and manage data flows;</p> </li> <li> <p>Implement and manage data pipelines for processing and transforming data from heterogeneous sources;</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with data architects and software developers to ensure data solutions' integrity, security, and scalability;</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain detailed documentation of implemented architectures, pipelines, and procedures;</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with the data development and analytics team to understand project requirements and define technical specifications.</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>What will help you succeed:</b></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field;</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven experience in designing and developing data solutions, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure;</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of cloud platform technologies, such as Google Cloud Dataflow, Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and others;</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of Google Cloud Dataproc, AWS EMR, or Azure HDInsight;</p> </li> <li> <p>Advanced skills in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala);</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with data lake architecture and data governance principles;</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to design and optimize data pipelines for high performance and scalability;</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to work in an Agile development environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams;</p> </li> <li> <p>Fluent English.</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><em>At Globant we believe that an inclusive culture and a diverse environment make us stronger.
