The Department of Molecular Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Technologist. This individual will play a critical role in supporting and advancing the research initiatives of the laboratory under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) and senior research staff. The Senior Research Technologist will be responsible for a wide range of laboratory and research management tasks, including laboratory maintenance, animal studies, technical support for various laboratory procedures, data analysis, and regulatory compliance. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in our laboratory focusing on understanding the complexity of brain cancer, characterizing the mechanisms driving its heterogeneity and exploring new treatment strategies leading to translational therapeutic development. Our laboratory has strong interests in tumor metabolism, tumor immunology, cell-cell communications and its role in driving disease presentation.

Qualifications:
Requires bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other relevant science with 4 years of research laboratory experience.
Master's degree in biology, chemistry, or other relevant science preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in handling and performing surgical procedures on small animals, particularly in an experimental research setting.
- A minimum of 2 year of experience in cell culture techniques.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in standard molecular biology techniques.
- A background in immunology is desirable but not mandatory, as the role will involve working with immune cells in various experimental contexts.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
