Role Overview: Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Peer Recovery Coach will work closely with our clinical and
support teams to provide personalized support to individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD
Utilizing lived experience and specialized training, the Peer Recovery Coach will guide members
through their recovery journey, helping them navigate resources, build coping skills, and stay
motivated toward their recovery goals.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide one-on-one peer support to individuals with SUD, utilizing personal lived experience to motivate members.
- Develop individualized recovery plans in collaboration with members, focusing on their unique strengths and needs.
- Collaborate with clinical and support teams to ensure a comprehensive, integrated approach to member care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of member interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Advocate for members, helping them to access necessary resources and services within the community.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in peer recovery support.
- Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

- High member satisfaction and engagement as measured by survey responses and retention rates.
- Successful development and implementation of individualized recovery plans for members.
- Positive outcomes demonstrated by member progress in achieving recovery goals.
- Effective collaboration with clinical and support teams, leading to integrated and holistic care for members.
- Timely and accurate documentation of all member interactions and progress.
What we expect from you:
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing peer support to individuals with SUD.
- Lived experience with substance use recovery, demonstrating a strong personal commitment to the recovery journey.
- Strong understanding of recovery principles, techniques, and best practices such as motivational interviewing, stages of change, and recovery capital.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and resourcefulness in navigating complex systems of care.
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all member interactions.
