The Senior Account Executive (SAE) owns the relationship between the agency and those clients assigned, taking the lead in clients’ marketing and advertising strategies and liaising between them and the agency on a day-to-day basis. The SAE collaborates closely with the agency’s internal teams to build strategy and execute, manage, deliver, and analyze each client's marketing campaigns.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Accounts.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Accounts.
As our Senior Account Executive, you will:
- Build strategy and creative briefs, marketing plans/timelines, and budgets for assigned client accounts
- Remain current on all relevant client, industry, and market developments
- Serve as a liaison between agency teams and client, maintaining direct, day-to-day, senior-level client contact and nurturing strong, collegial relationships with each client
- Ensure client projects are completed on time and on budget
- Be accountable for the financial health of assigned accounts, including establishing project budgets with client and agency; working with agency teams in the assignment of contracted/associative talent; managing POs and invoices; making accurate projections for both existing and new revenue opportunities
- Ensure accurate invoicing and maintenance of client financial reports
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop brand strategy, media campaign planning, and detailed program plans
- Lead calls and meetings conducted with the client and other agency colleagues; coordinate/execute next steps across agency teams as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to define and execute marketing strategies in alignment with agency and client expectations
- Manage and escalate client concerns as appropriate
- Review and approve creative deliverables and coordinate client approvals
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with current clients
- Represent the agency at industry functions
- Travel, as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
You have:
- 8-10 years of professional experience, direct experience in an agency setting is preferred
- Experience managing creative teams and projects such as brand development, digital and traditional marketing campaigns, print collateral, broadcast, and more
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- Higher education industry experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with an ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management
- Proven track record managing multiple, complex projects from conception through implementation
- Excellent client engagement and relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Mac software programs
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment
