Business Engineer

Our partner is looking for a Business Engineer in Plymouth, MI. This opportunity is with a not-for-profit financial institution dedicated to serving the Michigan community for over 70 years. The role involves scoping, researching, and developing an implementation map for the member-facing digital portfolio. The position supports cross-departmental projects, assesses potential solutions, and identifies resources for implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the executive team to identify small- to medium-sized digital enhancements for a positive impact on the organization's strategy.
- Devise, plan, and implement innovative methods and practices to offer novel solutions.
- Collaborate with the PMO, IT, and Insights team to ensure projects are planned and executed within the appropriate timeframe.
- Scope, size, and gather requirements for prompt execution of projects with appropriate risk provisions.
- Lead the Business Design Developers through high-impact projects as determined by strategic sprints.
- Influence, negotiate, and act as a change agent to implement complex process improvements.
- Support the executive team with weekly updates and identify vulnerabilities in the plan and execution.
- Lead the business design team and activities related to improvement opportunities or large initiatives.
- Provide analysis to align business strategies, capabilities, and processes with applications, data, and technology.
- Identify and support the development of performance metrics and measurement systems.
- Act as the primary liaison between the executive team, PMO, IT, and retail banking workflows.
- Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of experience in data analytics, BI analysis, and development.
- Three years of experience leading a team of developers.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to create fact-based recommendations.
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- Independent judgment and creativity applied to the resolution of contract issues.
- Strong communication skills in easy-to-understand business terms.
- Excellent organization, time, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field (preferred).
