The Director BH Program Management II works collaboratively with Behavioral Health (BH) Senior Leadership in efforts to establish long term strategies, and short and long term goals for their assigned areas. They provide clinical and administrative oversight to multiple, complex programs and service lines that often function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Support of these programs requires frequent contact with stakeholders and the development of strong connections with other community agencies. Additionally, the Director works in collaboration with all Behavioral Health programs and service lines in support of business initiatives. The Director has the responsibility for collaborating and coordinating services with external local and state agencies as well as other behavioral health service providers. The Director works directly with BH Senior Leadership on budget responsibilities for assigned programs including fiscal year planning, amending and management.
Minimum Requirements
Master’s Degree or doctorate degree from an accredited program in social work, psychology, counseling, or any other related human services field approved by the State of Missouri
Must be a Qualified Mental Health Provider (i.e. registered nurse, social worker or licensed counselor)
If role includes management of a Clinical Practice must possess a clinical licensure in the state of Missouri
5+ years’ experience in healthcare management
Successful demonstration of analytical and technical skills in the production and presentation of executive level reports and proposals.
Ability to think and act strategically for the organization. Considerable ability to function independently, make valid judgments to ensure the integrity of operations and exhibit initiative in the completion of tasks. Considerable skill in facilitating problem solving.
Strong statistical and financial background
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a high degree of professionalism and personal presence.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and external to the medical center. Knowledge of and comfort with participatory management approaches which involve clinical department chairs, medical staff, medical center administrators, department heads ( and various levels of management) in addition to external agencies and regulatory bodies.
Considerable knowledge and skill in using personal computer including spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation graphic software.
If driving is a requirement for the employee, he/she must meet the requirements specified in the Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy and must continue to meet these requirements as a condition of employment.
Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment
