Resource Teacher (EX) (2025-2026) - School of the Incarnation, Gambrills MD

School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time middle school resource teacher for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. This teacher is part of the St. Ignatius Program (SIP) and would be responsible for support and intervention to students in grades 6-8. As part of SIP, this teacher is also a member of the Student Support Team and would act as a case manager for individual students within the program. This teacher is also expected to foster a faith-filled, Catholic learning environment that recognizes the dignity of each person while having the skill and expertise to align, plan, and implement instruction according to the Archdiocesan curriculum.
Essential Functions:
- Provide services for SIP students as assigned by resource coordinator
- Serves as case manager/provides services for assigned St. Ignatius Program students
- Attend SST/county meetings as needed
- Meet regularly with Resource Coordinator to report on student progress
- Attend SST meetings as applicable and reports about student progress
- Assist the Resource Coordinator in the review and organization of student plans
- Provide testing accommodations for identified students outside the classroom
- Monitor grades/assignments of assigned students regularly collaborating with teachers and/or communicating with students and parents as needed
- Collaborate with teachers in providing support/services to students in and out of the classroom
- Provide ODI (Organizational Drop In) services to middle school students
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the school
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education with a concentration in special education
- Current MSDE certification with special education endorsement.
- 4 years of experience in related field with growing level of responsibility
- Strong organizational and communication skill
Range: $46,000 - $90,000. Annualized
