Project – the aim you’ll have 

Together with our partner from Finland, we build SaaS software that enables fully electronic financial management. This system is already used by over 120,000 companies in Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.   

As it’s a web application built using Java language and MySQL database for financial systems, we pay attention to good quality. 

The project currently involves about 100 people, 50% of whom work in Poland. The project includes: feature development teams, architects, designers, devops, automated testers and agile coaches. 

This role's main purpose is to teach, coach and mentor their teams in agile ways of working, and by doing so, improving their team's productivity, output quality, output predictability and overall team health. 

The team has a Nordic organizational culture, which is based on respect for employees, mutual trust and a friendly working atmosphere.

Position – how you’ll contribute 

• As a teacher, you’ll support teams and their stakeholders in learning the basics of Agile theory, as well as adopting an agile mindset. 
• As a mentor, you’ll support teams and their stakeholders in applying the knowledge of Agile theory and the agile mindset into their work. 
• As a coach, you’ll support teams and their stakeholders in continuous growth towards improvement and elimination of waste. 
• As a facilitator, you’ll assure that the team’s meetings are productive. 

Also, in generall as a Servant Leader, you’ll: 

• Understand where your team(s) are in their Agile journey, and offer the right approach to support their growth. 
• Identify process issues and difficulties within and around their teams and assist in improving them. 
• Ensure that onboarding processes for new team members are done. 
• Co-operate with other Agile professionals to identify improvement opportunities across teams and the organization, spot issues and work on resolving them. 
• Co-operate with other Agile coaches to develop standards for agile processes within teams. 
• Co-operate with other Agile coaches when working on a multi-team project. 

Qualifications

Expectations – the experience you need 

• Theoretical and practical understanding of Agile – and some frameworks to implement it e.g. Scrum, Kanban.  
• Experience in the Agile way of working.  
• Facilitation, Teaching, Coaching and Mentoring skills. 
• Communication and problem-solving skills. 
• Patience, empathy, humility. 
• Ability to work in a team. 
• Open-minded attitude and readiness to embrace change. 
• Ability to self-organize. 
• Ability to say no and keep workloads under control. 

Additional skills – the edge you have 

• Knowledge and experience in Scaled Multi-Team Development. 
• Agile Certification - Scrum.org, Kanban University, etc. 
• Product Development knowledge and experience. 
• People management skills.
