Join our team of world-class engineers at our Air Quality Department! As an Air Quality Performance Test Engineer Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with air quality regulations. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and processing performance test protocols, observing performance tests for various sources, and reviewing performance test reports.
Performance tests, also known as stack tests or source tests, are crucial for verifying that process equipment and control devices are operating correctly and meeting emission limits. Your work will directly contribute to the department’s mission to improve the air quality in Maricopa County so that customers, residents, and visitors can live, work, and play in a healthy environment.

We Require
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements
Successful candidates must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.

Experience in the following air quality permitting areas: Title V, Non-Title V, Prevention of Significant Deterioration, Major New Source Review, New Source Performance Standards, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants, and Best Available Control Technology requirements
