About The Role

We are incubating a groundbreaking product at Postman that leverages advancements in artificial intelligence to accelerate software development, aligning with our API-First-World (https://api-first-world.com/) vision. Our early-stage goal is to develop technology and product offerings that simplify coding complexities by generating fully functional service code from API definitions, business definitions, and example request-response inputs.

This initiative will push the boundaries of code generation while redefining user experience paradigms for the AI-driven future.

As an early team member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product’s vision and direction. You will engage deeply with users, drive successful adoption, and influence the team's growth and evolution.

What You’ll Do

• Apply and improve on cutting-edge AI models for code generation from API designs and specifications.
• Implement and optimize AI-powered code generation pipelines and tooling.
• Work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced team with rapid iteration cycles.
• Research and integrate state-of-the-art techniques for program synthesis and code automation.
• Actively participate in product discovery and iterative design cycles.

About You

• Strong expertise in AI and machine learning technologies, especially LLMs and code generation models.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
• Solid understanding of APIs, RESTful architecture, and API design principles.
• Familiarity with modern backend frameworks, databases, and scalable service architectures.
• Experience working with data vectorization, embedding technologies, and agentic systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep product sensibility with a focus on impact and user experience.
• Familiarity with tools and approaches used in building products like Devin and Cursor AI is a plus

The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $180,000 to 240,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
