EPC-Vidalta is a real estate investment firm engaged in the acquisition, ownership, management, and disposition of conventional multifamily apartment properties targeting middle-income households throughout the Southern United States on behalf of institutional and private investors. Since 2011, the firm has acquired 41 multifamily residential properties in Florida and Texas containing over 10,100 apartment units. The firm has $1.1 billion of AUM in a portfolio of 24 multifamily properties, with more than 6,6400 apartments in Dallas, Houston, Tampa, and Orlando. The firm’s executive team has over 250 years of combined experience in the real estate industry, and the firm has a $600MM+ fundraising target for the next 24 months.

Position Overview:


We are seeking an accomplished and highly effective Director to MD Level Real Estate Fundraiser to lead capital raising and business development efforts. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the Real Estate market and must possess a strong network of U.S. and global middle-market institutions (including private and public pension plans, foundations and endowments, and insurance companies), financial advisors, private banks, private wealth management groups, family offices, UHNWI, and HNWI to expand the company's LP base. The selected candidate’s primary day-to-day responsibilities include planning, implementing, executing, managing a full range of capital raising activities. The candidate should be a strategic and entrepreneurial thinker, eager to contribute to the company's growth by working with the firm’s principals to develop new products, build strategic capital relationships, enhance the brand, and elevate the overall company. The candidate should also be a strong team leader and should be able to lead and inspire a team that will support the fundraising efforts and help the candidate succeed in the role. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  •  Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies targeting institutional investors (including private and public pension plans, foundations and endowments, and insurance companies), financial advisors, private banks, private wealth management groups, family offices, UHNWI, and HNWI from different regions. 
  •  Lead and support new capital raise initiatives. 
  •  Collaborate with the Investor Relations team to develop compelling investment proposals, pitch decks, and marketing materials tailored to different investor segments. 
  •  Be able to articulate the firm’s strategy to prospective investors clearly. 
  •  Schedule, attend, and host meetings with prospective investors. 
  •  Identify and apply to small and emerging manager programs from sponsored by different types of investors.  
  •  Populate and update CRM software with call/meeting updates. 
  •  Monitor market trends, investor sentiment, and competitive landscape to inform fundraising strategies and optimize fundraising opportunities. 
  •  Provide leadership and mentorship to fundraising staff, including training, performance management, and professional development. 
  •  Travel as needed to meet with current and prospective investors to create long-lasting relationships for the firm. 
  •  Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and investor meetings to enhance visibility and expand investor relationships. 

Requirements

Qualifications:


• Ideally 10+ years of experience and success in raising equity capital on behalf of a real estate private equity manager. 

• Possess an extensive and active real estate U.S. investor rolodex and relationships comprised heavily of Institutional Investors institutions (including private and public pension plans, foundations and endowments, and insurance companies), financial advisors, private banks, private wealth management groups, family offices, UHNWI, and HNWI. 

• LATAM, Europe, and Middle East investor rolodex and relationships desired. 

• Experience in raising capital for Small & Emerging Managers from Institutional Emerging Manager Programs. 

• Experience in raising capital for Minority Owned investment management firms.
