About the role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying practical engineering methods to support shipboard electrical systems by assisting in the preparation of technical documentation (such as wiring diagrams, schematics, and ship alterations). Experience gathering and analyzing field data and performing physical inspections and testing under the guidance of a senior technician or engineer. Experience in the layout, testing, inspection, or troubleshooting of shipboard electrical components. Experience working with power generation and conversion systems, power and lighting distribution systems, emergency generators, electrical propulsion control systems, internal communication systems, metering and alarm systems, and SUBSAFE systems. Experience applying working knowledge of the technical constraints, safety protocols, and physical interface requirements. Experience conducting electrical technician work aboard nuclear-powered submarines, specifically encompassing operations within nuclear propulsion plant cognizant compartments and containment boundaries.
