Transportation Business Analyst

Reporting to the Director of Development and Optimization, as a key member of the Internal Fleet Team, the Transportation Business Analyst is responsible for analysis, KPIs, reporting, and assigned projects in support of Circle K’s U.S. Internal Fleet. This position will play an increasingly initiative-taking role involving strategy for the U.S. Internal Fleet’s business. This position will play a critical role in developing reporting and analytical tools in Power BI to enable Internal Fleet stakeholders to drive business improvement. They will also serve as a subject matter expert with Fleet data. Through initiative, business analytical skills, root cause analysis, and finding untapped opportunities to improve and grow the business and help shape the strategy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:

• Drive research and analysis on key strategic projects, sharing findings and recommendations and assisting in project rollouts. 
• Taking initiative, understanding our supply chain processes, making recommendations for change, and helping successfully implement the solution. 
• Research opportunities to grow the business and make recommendations to leadership to pursue.  
• Partner with and work cross-functionally with all affected stakeholders. 
• Effectively present research, analysis, and initiatives to all affected stakeholders. 
• Produce robust KPI reporting and performance analytics. 
• Routine reporting (daily/weekly/monthly) and ad hoc reporting as necessary and as prioritized. 
• Connecting data sources in reporting to enhance insights. 
• Periodic direct engagement with report users to walk through data and key insights. 
• Be familiar with system set-up and assist with system set-up and maintenance as needed.
• Twenty-five percent of travel or less is required in the role. 
• Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. A combination of job-related experience and education in place of a degree.
• Requires 1-2 years of relevant experience. Previous experience within fleet analytics and fleet dispatch preferred. 
• Experience with Power-BI, PeopleNet, TMW, Telapoint, A-Suite, Sentix, Lytx, and Vector preferred. 
• Experience with large-scale analytics projects preferred. 
• Strong data analysis skills preferred. 
• Strong analytical background and the ability to solve complex business problems. 
• Strong people and presentation skills preferred. 
• Able to understand how various aspects of the supply chain interact with each other and impact one another with a mindset toward optimizing supply chain performance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite - strong Excel skills preferred.
• Power BI dashboard, report generation experience required.
• Financial analyst experience a plus but not required.
