Attention all college students! We are seeking highly motivated and analytically oriented individuals to join our team as Interns. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Data Analysis, IT, Investments, Accounting, Policy Review in a supportive and dynamic work environment.

As an intern, you'll be a part of the Treasury environment, working alongside seasoned professionals while receiving an introduction to the real-world professional experience. You will also:

• Gain practical experience in various aspects of your field from professionals invested in your career growth.

• Networking opportunities within the industry.

This internship will be a nine-week program and will begin Monday, June 2 and run until Friday, August 1, 2025. Selection decisions will be made no later than March 31, 2025.

Minimum Qualifications

All Intern candidates must be:
-At least 18 years of age and be enrolled in a two- or four-year, or graduate-level program.
-Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale or 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for graduate student applicants.
-Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).

The Department of the Treasury is seeking the following:

• 1-Unclaimed Property Policy Research Intern: Are you passionate about research, data analysis, and policy development? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Policy Research Intern to support our Unclaimed Property Team in developing best practices and improving program efficiencies. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in policy research and development, work in a collaborative and mission-driven environment, contribute to a program that directly benefits citizens of the Commonwealth, and networking opportunities with government professionals and policymakers.

Responsibilities:
1. Best Practices Research – Conduct research on unclaimed property policies and procedures across states to identify industry best practices.
2. Data Analysis & Reporting – Analyze program data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvements.
3. Policy Development Support – Assist in drafting recommendations for policy enhancements that align with regulatory requirements and national standards.
4. Regulatory Compliance Review – Research and summarize state and federal regulations related to unclaimed property programs.
5. Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with team members to understand operational challenges and provide research-backed solutions.
6. Documentation & Presentation – Prepare research summaries, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
7. Workflow & Process Improvement – Support efforts to streamline work processes and implement data-driven policy improvements.

Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
