Position Information: NWHSU is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our clinic team as a Patient Services Coordinator. This individual will be the first point of contact to our patients and will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment and ensuring that patient's expectations are exceeded through exemplary customer service. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and enjoys working collaboratively within a team.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible position working 40 hours per week. Standard clinic hours are between 7:00am-5:30pm. Scheduled hours may vary slightly per trimester.
Work Location: Bloomington, MN in person
Duties:
- Registering and scheduling patients
- Answering, screening, and responding to phone calls/emails
- Checking patients in/out for appointments
- Processing patient payment and ensuring all necessary paperwork and forms are completed
- Fielding questions from providers, patients and interns in an appropriate and timely manner
- Balance and settle daily billing batches
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Assist with various day to day operations
- Sending/receiving/uploading electronic forms into the EMR
What do you need to have?
We are looking for a positive, motivated upbeat person who has attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills. We are looking for someone who is a team player with a can-do attitude.
- High School Diploma/GED, required
- Bachelor's degree, preferred
- Previous experience working with an electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management system
- Microsoft office experience, preferred
- Knowledge of insurance and healthcare, preferred
