Position Summary:
The Business Classroom Teacher is responsible for supporting student’s success by ensuring the school day structure runs efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. We are currently seeking a teacher to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, by the mission and standards of Belmont Charter Network. This is a 10 month position that is supervised by a member of the school leadership team.
Detailed Responsibilities:

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals.

Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student learning and participation.

Develop and implement unit and lesson plans that align to state standards in courses such as business administration, marketing, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and accounting.

Partner with Philadelphia Financial Scholars to implement financial literacy and entrepreneurship courses.

Prepare students for the A*S*K certification exam(s)

Proficiency in the use of instructional technology to enhance student learning

Ability to design an instructional program intended to address the racial achievement gap

Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional methods.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.

Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school administrators.

Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
