Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Act as first point of contact for many HR related questions
  • Coordinates the full lifecycle on and offboarding process for new hires and leavers including but not limited to system entry, new hire and cross departmental communication, employees first day office tour and schedule
  • Verification of I-9 documents
  • Maintain, audit & organize personnel files for employment documentation, resignation information, payroll related documents.
  • Maintain and enter changes to employee data in HRIS
  • Create company facing new hire announcements and other related materials
  • Assist biweekly payroll by providing HR related materials and system data entry (e.g. tuition reimbursement forms, bonus payments, promotions, etc.)
  • Create customized reports that meet organizational requirements.
  • Assist with HR data audits to ensure data integrity across HR systems and in functional areas that receive data from HR including Oracle, ADP, Workable, Employee Navigator, etc.
  • Coordinate offboarding of employees exiting the company including system entry, cross departmental communication, documentation, etc.
  • Assist with accurate compliance reporting such as EEOC.
  • Assist with special events and projects (e.g. company inclusion events, performance management)
  • Supports Northeastern Co-op Program
  • Support vendor relationships as needed
  • Greet in person candidates for interviews
  • Handle any ad hoc activity while consulting with the HR team
  • Help with the employee recognition program

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and ideally and information system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interacts professionally with employees, candidates, vendors, and suppliers. An understanding of the need for strict confidentiality and discretion with highly sensitive information
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment and manage competing demands
  • Demonstrated dependability; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
  • Experience identifying, analyzing and resolving problems (within scope of responsibility) in a timely manner
  • Experience prioritizing and planning work activities, using time efficiently, improving processes
  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and experience in monitoring own work to assure quality, accuracy and thoroughness
  • Professional image with ability to form good partner relationships across functions
  • Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness

Education & Relevant Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience
