The Sr. Dir., IT Infrastructure and Operations is a member of the IT senior leadership team and is accountable for all aspects of the enterprise-wide IT infrastructure services ensuring that Spark’s IT infrastructure is scalable, secure, and reliable, and that IT operations run smoothly and efficiently.  The Sr. Dir., IT Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for providing strategic vision and leadership in directing the design, implementation, and management of hosting/storage services, network/telecom services, end-user computing services, messaging services, configuration management database (CMDB), audio/visual services, cloud/web services, data backup/disaster recovery services, IT service desk, and data center facilities. The Sr. Dir., IT Infrastructure and Operations will strategize, build, operationalize, and provide ongoing oversight to the IT infrastructure services of Spark.

The Sr. Dir., IT Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership to this major functional area, developing and maintaining Spark’s cloud and data strategy, IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards, developing and managing functional budgets, building and developing a high performing team of technology experts, building and maintaining relationships with external vendors and service providers, identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and trends, and recommending solutions that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Spark's IT infrastructure and operations. The Sr. Dir, IT Infrastructure and Operations collaborates regularly with colleagues within IT and senior business leaders across the organization to support established Spark strategic objectives.

Responsibilities Include:

• Direct the development and implementation of Spark's enterprise-wide IT infrastructure and operations strategy ensuring that Spark’s IT infrastructure is scalable, secure, and reliable, and that IT operations run smoothly and efficiently
• Develop strategic relationships with other team members and business functions and partner across the IT senior leadership team to anticipate and address Spark’s business demands and achieve strategic corporate initiatives related to enterprise technology
• Responsible for maintaining the CMDB system, including comprehensive data governance across IT solutions, infrastructure, networking technology and cloud assets.
•  Accountable for monitoring, budgeting, planning and delivering infrastructure and network upgrades and replacement to ensure compliance with Spark standards
• Manage large-scale IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new installations. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Oversee enterprise infrastructure management tools and their respective maintenance, configuration, integration and strategies
• Monitor and report on the performance of Spark's IT infrastructure and operations services and develop continuous improvement practices to drive efficiency, reliability, and scalability
• Establish both operational effectiveness and performance improvements through the effective delivery of IT infrastructures services
• Ensure operational efficiency and integrity for all IT infrastructure services are met through established best practices to drive improved efficiency and scalability
• Direct the development, implementation, and testing of system backups and disaster recovery services and plans to ensure prompt and complete recovery in the event of an outage
• Review and align on solutions addressing potential or ongoing operational problems and identifying improvement opportunities to enhance overall IT operational resilience
• Develop and maintain IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards based on established best practices to ensure the performance, security, compliance, and integrity of Spark’s data, systems, and processes
• Work in partnership with Spark IT senior leadership on strategic initiatives related to enterprise computing to continuously improve policies, standards and procedures by anticipating issues, providing advice and sharing knowledge and best practices
• Direct the development, implementation and oversight of Spark's enterprise-wide IT Cloud and Data strategies and services
• Lead the planning and execution for our cloud-based data and analytic strategy in partnership with Spark’s Digital Teams
