Alcon is seeking a Global Product Director to support our Product and Brand Marketing Team in Fort Worth, TX. The Global Product Director will be the champion of the brand/s and area of expertise. Coordinates market plan and/or launch programs to create demand and maximize sales of a specific product, product line, or product area. Evaluates brand performance. Provides briefs and oversees development and production of marketing materials. Directs or provides leadership as a consultant to the sales force by coordinating activities such as advertising, public relations, and product strategy implementation to achieve product marketing objectives. Leveraging deep understanding of the category and competitors, the Global Product Director recommends product development and/or enhancements as a result of brand performance, and feedback from customers, patients and/or sales force.

This role is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of brand strategy, marketing mix and operational plans that optimize sales, market share, and bottom-line growth for the Vision Care franchise in the short and long-term.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Identifying market opportunities, translating opportunities into product design, and driving branding/marketing strategies that result in a successful product/brand launch.
• Leading a cross-functional team, including BD&L, Strategy, Insights and R&D, to evaluate new asset integration.
• Developing product/brand positioning, associated marketing themes, and media channels that align with target customer demographics.
• Developing and implementing marketing strategies/plans and overseeing development and distribution of marketing materials Product/Brand Management (P&L/Revenue Accountability).
• Managing the product/brand P&L (e.g., budgeting, expenditures, profitability, ROI etc.).
• Partnering with product development and marketing teams to ensure that customer needs/values are incorporated into product design, branding, and marketing approaches.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• 10 Years of Relevant Experience
• 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
• Work hours: Salaried-Exempt
• Travel Requirements: Globally up to 40%

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in upstream, launch excellence and myopia/ophthalmology experience
• Experience or knowledge of traditional BD&L processes and new asset integration
