Executive Assistant to the Chief Medical Officer

Job Purpose

The Executive Assistant to the Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for providing executive support to the Chief Medical Officer and will assist with a variety of administrative and operational tasks for the Medical Staff and Medical Services Department.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) support including daily administrative tasks (schedule management, emails, phone calls, written correspondence), project support, relationship management, department budgeting and expense tracking, invoice approvals, policy management, administrative support for meetings

Medical Staff support functions, especially managing the Medical Staff credentialing function

Administrative Support and Oversight for Hospital Committees: Medical Executive Committee, Medical Quality & Compliance Sub-board Committee, Institutional Review Board (IRB), Medical & Outpatient Services Leadership Team

20%

Additional support to Medical Services Department

10%

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

5+ years of administrative experience supporting senior management.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) are required. Communication skills, efficient time management, flexibility in day-to-day tasks, calendar and meeting management experience.  Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.

License/Certification/Credential:

Professional Administrative Certification of Excellence (PACE) or Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) certification preferred
