About the Role
Magna is seeking a highly motived Program manager to manage low volume builds of full vehicles and sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and managing program budget and timeline by working closely with internal and external suppliers with a goal to meet customer requirements.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use hands to finger, handle, and feel. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and have adequate mobility to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Responsible for working in compliance with the provisions of the Health and Safety Act as well as any rules or standards otherwise specified by OSHA or MIOSHA or any other government regulations. Expected to exercise caution in all work activities and report any unsafe conditions, injuries, or near misses to the appropriate supervisor.
Your Responsibilities
- The project manager is responsible for consolidating critical project information: scope, budget, timing, quality, risk assessment, and open issues list.
- The project manager's primary responsibility is to ensure the projects are executed within scope, on time, and on-budget and that the deliverables meet the expected quality level.
- The project manager works with engineering and all other support functions to resolve the issues and conflicts that emerge during the planning and execution phase of the projects.
- Leads the process of preliminary business cases: estimates volumes, cost structure and work with the divisions to determine capital, tooling and labor requirements.
- Create the relevant material for gate reviews by tracking projects and identifying high-risk areas by evaluating reported timing and financial status. Once the high-risk area is identified, the project manager coordinates the root-cause analysis with the team and creates corrective actions.
- Responsible for estimating and tracking of program timing, resources, and budget.
- Responsible for managing suppliers and vendors ensuring timeline and budget.
- Responsible to represent Magna to the customer(s) in obtaining all required information, data, and authorizations for successful execution of the programs.
- Assist in development of manufacturing processes & assembly instructions.
- Responsible for implementation of process control techniques and procedures
- Identifies and communicates barriers to the successful completion of program milestones.
- Tracks, processes, and documents engineering changes
- Participates in cross-functional teams; coordinates project activities to drive projects from initial to completion.
- Performs project risk analysis, identifies risk areas, and develops alternate mitigation measures.
- Writes internal work order directions for manufacturing and customer requirements to various departments.
- Responsible for customer presentations and interface.

Who we are looking for
- 8+ years’ experience in program management at an automotive supplier, Tier 1, or OEM.
- Experience in managing low volume vehicle and/or component assembly programs.
