Janitor, Whitehall

Job Summary: Qualified applicants must be able to perform all tasks noted below in a busy environment with limited supervision. From time to time, you may be required to work other shifts or be temporarily moved to other departments in the plant. Must also be prepared for any related duties Whitehall Specialties, Inc (within reason) assigned by the Supervisor or Management. 

 

   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Check soap dispensers. 

• Check Paper towel dispensers. 

• Assign lockers to new employees and clean out lockers as needed  

• Manage uniform orders 

• Report and order when low on supplies 

• Check toilet paper supply in every restroom. 

• Empty all waste baskets and ash trays 

• Place trash in dumpster 

• Wipe the handles on all the doors throughout the plant 

• Use a disinfectant wash for each telephone receiver in the plant. 

• Sweep and mop the lunchrooms and locker rooms. 

• Clean and wipe off tables, counters, refrigerator and microwave in lunchroom 

• Clean the stools and sinks and disinfect the showers. 

• Pickup around the dumpster area outside. 

• Sweep front & back stairway.  Mop when needed 

• Clean Dry Storage. 

• Take out empty boxes 

• Sweep the area 

• Empty garbage in shop 

• Make sure the Mezzanine is swept and mopped regularly 

• Once trained

Education and Experience: 

• High school diploma or equivalent. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds consistently 

• Standing for extended periods of time
