JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Vehicle Registration Office at Penn State Harrisburg is accepting applications for part-time parking permit enforcement for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

Job Duties

  • Patrol assigned areas of campus to identify parking violations.
  • Issue parking tickets and/or warnings.
  • Direct all violation recipients to the VRP office with disputes and/or complaints.
  • Provide information on parking regulations and available parking options.
  • General office duties including filing, organizing and minimal computer entries.
  • Assist office personnel with additional tasks as needed (i.e. verification of non-working kiosk machines, upkeep on Parking Gator, etc).
  • Direct pedestrians and vehicular traffic within parking lots during special events as requested.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Employment with the University for this opening will require the operation of a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

  • May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
