Laundry Staff PT

General Summary:

Responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens and towels for the hotel.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide superior service to guests, visitors and employees in a friendly and cheerful manner.
• Assist with the transport of soiled linen containers and clean linen carts.
• Load and operate commercial washers and dryers.
• Check stock and notify executive housekeeper of supply needs.
• Inspect linens to locate and salvage stained or torn items.
• Record counts for discarded linens.
• Fold and stack towels, sheets and other linens.
• Clean storerooms, laundry and organizing storage areas.
• Report equipment problems to maintenance.
• Maintain equipment and laundry areas.  Clean and keep areas neat and orderly. 
• Adhere to all fire, safety and security procedures.
• Perform additional assignments as required.

Job Requirements:

• One year previous housekeeping experience preferred. 
• Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry and pull up to 50 lbs. 
• Requires reaching overhead, climbing, crouching, and twisting.
