The Account Coordinator is responsible for nurturing and growing relationships across a defined portfolio of key strategic accounts. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and is accountable for driving customer satisfaction, order execution alignment, account growth, issue resolution, and long-term partnership development.
The ideal candidate combines strong relationship management skills with operational awareness and commercial discipline. This individual will work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Quality to ensure customer commitments are met while supporting GAL Bronx business objectives.
Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred
3-5 years of experience in account management, customer success, sales operations, customer service, or commercial operations within a manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environment
Experience managing strategic or high-value customer relationships
Strong understanding of order management, supply chain coordination, manufacturing lead times, and customer fulfillment processes
Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and customer needs across several accounts simultaneously
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive action
High level of professionalism, ownership, and customer orientation
Proficiency with ERP, CRM, Microsoft Excel, and standard business reporting tools
Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
Own the day-to-day relationship for key customer accounts, serving as the primary liaison between the customer and GAL Bronx.
Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s business, buying patterns, project pipeline, service expectations, and strategic importance.
Build and maintain account plans for assigned customers, including growth opportunities, risk areas, and service priorities.
Coordinate internally to support accurate order management, customer promise dates, expedites, backlog reviews, and issue resolution.
Lead regular customer touchpoints, including business reviews, order status discussions, forecast alignment, and performance follow-up.
Monitor open orders, backlog, service concerns, and delivery performance to proactively address risks before they impact the customer.
Partner with internal teams to resolve escalations related to lead time, product quality, order accuracy, logistics, and technical support.
Identify opportunities to improve customer retention, increase share of wallet, and strengthen long-term account value.
Support pricing, quotation follow-up, and commercial discussions in alignment with company strategy.
Maintain clear communication with customers regarding order status, product availability, changes, and recovery plans when required.
Track and report key account metrics, trends, and action items to leadership.
Represent the voice of the customer internally while balancing operational capability, capacity, and profitability.
Ensure CRM, account notes, action logs, and customer records are maintained accurately and consistently.

Experience in elevator, industrial manufacturing, building products, or engineered-to-order environments
Familiarity with project-based order flow, aftermarket / spares support, and distributor or customer account structures
