We are excited to advertise this fantastic opportunity to become a part of the Aviva’s global finance team. The role will give successful candidates an exposure to senior stakeholder management, the ability to strengthen their controlling skills and a platform from which to move their career forward at pace.

What will you be doing?

  • Support the central Finance PM’s in managing the cost of all the Finance sub-workstreams

  • Work with workstream leads to ensure they provide an updated Plan A resource tracker every PF

  • Bridge between each PF and provide commentary – work with workstream leads to get the variance commentary

  • Consolidate the Plan A resource tracker from all workstreams every PF

  • Submit the PF numbers for review to the Plan A Finance leads and Senior stakeholders

  • Confirm resource allocation each month with the workstream leads and post journals

  • Post any accruals each month when required

  • Report actuals vs variance each month, provide split of variance by workstream and report any under/over spend to workstream leads and Plan A Finance lead, Plan A Finance Director and Central PM

  • Ad-hoc data analysis i.e. resource mix, grade mix may be required 

  • Report any risk and opportunities on a monthly basis

  • Streamline the process where required to ensure workstream leads/PM’s own and manage their costs.
     

What we’re looking for?

  • University degree preferred in economics, finance & accounting or similar (accounting qualifications e.g. ACCA, BR would be a strong asset)

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in controlling project costs

  • Very good English language skills (working with English-speaking stakeholders on a daily basis)

  • Experience in insurance companies would be a strong asset

  • Presentation and stakeholder management skills

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Ability to think analytically and work in a team
