About the role

The Johns Hopkins team in the Department of International Health in the Health Systems Programs is seeking a Research Data Analyst who will support research activities under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The incumbent will primarily conduct data analysis and manuscript write ups.

The Research Data Analyst will provide data analysis support to the Road Safety Project in the Johns Hopkins International Injury Research Unit.

 

This position aims to support the development of machine learning algorithms to collect data on key road safety risk factors. This work will involve reviewing state-of-the-art algorithms in the field and writing code to improve and implement machine learning techniques for data collection.

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, compiling and ensuring quality of data.
  • Algorithm development.
  • Research paper write-up.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Data Management skills including proficiency using Python.
  • Experience with development of machine learning algorithms.
  • Strong oral and writing skills.
  • Good teamwork, and time flexibility are required.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
  • Three years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in computer science or a related field.

Starting Salary Range: $22.83 - $40.04 HRLY ($65,400 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
