Reports to: Departmental Supervisor or Manager
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, Hybrid Schedule (2 days in office - 3 days remote); Will work 40 hours per week with flexible schedules from 8:30am-6:00pm EST,
Location: Concord, NC
Requirements
- Experience with insurance payers preferred
- Experience with patient admissions in a similar referral source-based practice setting and customer service in an inbound/outbound customer service center is strongly preferred
- Customer service experience in a Home Medical Equipment company is strongly preferred, but previous customer service experience in the healthcare services business is also acceptable
- Previous experience working with enteral therapy patients or pediatric enteral nutrition formulas is highly desirable
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
- Onboard new patients by hospital discharge or company transition
- Processes inbound orders from our referral sources and requests for assistance from our patients through a variety of mediums, including inbound and outbound calls, faxes, and e-mails
- Provide resupply orders to patients on service
- Receive and review patient records to ensure medical necessity is met for services ordered by physicians
- Perform insurance and benefit verification; obtain prior authorizations
