Coinbase Risk Solutions (CRS) is the subsidiary of Coinbase responsible for creating structured yield and access products for Coinbase’s institutional and crypto-native clients. 

We are growing this team and are looking for motivated people to help chart the path of a new and rapidly expanding business. CRS is managed from Singapore but has a global team drawn from traditional finance, legal, fintech and crypto-native backgrounds.  We are looking for an experienced quant/trader with at least 4 years experience. The candidate will have executed and managed a multistrat portfolio, mostly delta-hedged using spot and derivatives (futures/options), ideally having leveraged this experience in a crypto native firm.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Execution of CRS transactions
• Constant monitoring of the book positions to adhere to risk management limits
• Pre and post trade processing - daily reconciliation with ops team
• Development and maintenance of pricers
• Analyze and backtest trading strategies for optimizing hedging of the book
• Extensive interaction with sales teams and other CRS team members to create new CRS products

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• 5y+ experience of strat/trading or quant/trading in a top tier investment bank or buy-side institution - any asset class (preference for crypto, rates/fx)
• Strong quantitative skills with experience in derivative pricing, calibration and optimization problems
• Expecting fluent coding skills in Python and Excel
• Proven track record of managing risk in trading book
• Must have had hands on experience with options
• Deep interest in digital assets and the crypto ecosystem
• Experience working with diverse cross-functional internal stakeholders
• Remote, with some travel into the NY office

Nice to haves:

• Backed/fronted experience (Python, react, node, etc.)
• Has previously built pricer and backtesting engine
• Established relationships with crypto-native institutions and/or protocols
• Experience working in a trading role at a crypto firm trading perps and options
• Additional languages
