Position Summary:
The Enterprise Architect, Cloud Technologies will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop cloud strategies, architect scalable and resilient cloud solutions, and ensure the successful migration of existing on-premises systems to the cloud. The role will also guide the adoption of new cloud native strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead the design of cloud solutions emphasizing high availability, scalability, and robust security, ensuring alignment with the organization’s performance metrics and reliability targets
- Spearhead collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams to perform a comprehensive assessment of the current infrastructure, strategically identify cloud adoption opportunities, and devise actional migration strategies
- Drive the full cloud migration lifecycle by providing technical leadership and mentorship, from planning and design, to execution, ensuring projects meet strategic business goals
- Conduct thorough evaluations to identify optimal cloud services, platforms, and technologies that enhance business processes and improve efficiency and resource allocation and usage
- Establish and uphold rigorous cloud architecture standards, best practices, and governance protocols to maintain organizational consistency, security, and regulatory compliance
- Lead dynamic technical workshops, craft training programs, and initiate knowledge-sharing activities to build internal capabilities and promote a pervasive culture of continuous learning and development
- 12 years of experience in IT solution delivery
- Five years of experience leading an architecture team and/or domain with a focus on cloud technologies and solutions
- Hands-on experience leveraging cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services & Microsoft Azure
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including scalability, elasticity, availability, security by design, and performance optimization
- Proven track record of successfully architecting and implementing complex cloud solutions in enterprise environments
- Working knowledge of cloud networking, including an understanding of networking principles in cloud environments such as virtual networks, subnets, routing, and load balancing
- Proficiency in various cloud hosting models, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), with the ability to design and solutions using these models effectively
- Experience with cloud-native development methodologies and practices, including microservices architecture, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), serverless computing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices, with hands-on experience in automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools, such as CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager, to define and manage cloud infrastructure programmatically
