Responsible for oversight on design and implementation of products assigned to their team. Still needs to think things through but has their driver's license. This means they can take user stories and new features from idea to production unattended. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management. 

As a Senior Associate Application Engineer (Oracle Responsys), you will be responsible for supporting, creating and implementing email campaigns that engage current and potential customers for the purpose of cultivating leads, generating new business, and increasing existing business. This person will also manage and perform quality assurance for a high volume of automated marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities 

• Responsible for creating and implementing email campaigns that engage current and potential customers for the purpose of cultivating leads, generating new business, and increasing existing business
• Responsible for creating marketing campaigns using Oracle Responsys.
• Manage, and perform quality assurance for a high volume of automated marketing campaigns.
• Responsible for driving successful email marketing programs for brands with a broad online presence.
• Achieves team commitments (and influence others to do the same) by using informal leadership & highly developed communication skills 
• Contributes to and leads technology communities at Discover. 

Minimum Qualifications 

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you: 

• Bachelors – Computer Science or related 

• 1+ Years – Information Technology, (Software) Engineering, or related 

• Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of advanced beginner on the Dreyfus engineering scale 

Preferred Qualifications 

Bonus Points If You Have: 

• Strong experience utilizing Oracle Responsys
• 2+ years experience driving successful email marketing programs for brands with a broad online presence.
• Thorough understanding of email best practices within the following categories – (Targeting/Segmentation, Personalization, Triggered Automation, Orchestrated Journeys, Multivariate Testing & Optimization)
• Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and trends and how they can be utilized to enhance campaigns.
• Strong analytical skills on email marketing metrics & KPIs and having the ability to adjust to Campaigns/Journeys based on such insights.
• Good to have experience with other Campaign Management tools such as MoEngage, Sinch, Braze, Adobe
• Experience using e-mail delivery tools (Litmus, Return Path, etc.)
• Tech stack/tools - HTML, CSS, Responsys, Database knowledge, EditPlus, DreamweaverExternal applicants will be required to perform a technical interview.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $71,500.00 to $121,100.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
