Seasonal Visitor Center Staff (part-time)

A Typical Day

The Visitor Center Staff (Seasonal) is responsible for assisting with the seasonal gift box packing, shipping and selling with excellent customer service. Conduct the hands-on daily visitor center retail, café and catering operations. Work as a team to keep the visitor center and all work areas clean and presentable.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide excellent and friendly customer service
• Provide proper serving etiquette during an event
• Folds gift boxes and packs with sizzle, cheese and other gourmet foods to standard
• Accurately matches box, shipping label and greeting card and packages for shipping
• Label retail products
• Maintain a clean, well-organized and safe work environment
• Understand first in, first out rotation to ensure freshness of products
• Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC’s food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Hold self and others accountable to HCC’s food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates.

What You Will Need

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

What Will Put You Ahead

• Prior restaurant or food service experience

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The role has periods of time when the work environment is sedentary and conducted in an office environment balanced with frequent occasions that require prolonged walking or standing, lifting/ carrying/handling moderate weight objects on a regular basis.   Is required to wear PPE and have a regular presence in manufacturing and warehouse environments in both temperature controlled and uncontrolled locations.
