Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking a Security Consultant. This is a part-time and hourly position based in Mclean, VA. This is a remote role.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Experience in monitoring IT environments for compliance with information security architecture policies and standards
• Design, plan and implement enterprise-wide Cyber Security system and application solutions, with an emphasis on role-based security and developing appropriate security standards and technology baselines.
• Demonstrated knowledge of security requirements, standards and practices such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and OWASP Top 10.
• Experience with domain and technology implementation/ integration in one or more areas such as Cloud Security, Data Loss Protection, Intrusion Prevention System, Web Application Firewall, Container Security, Identity & Access Management and Vulnerability Management.
• Experience building secure architectures design review and identifying security gaps using both on premise and cloud native technologies.
• Experience working with security tools/ technologies including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Desired experience in Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) solutions.
• Advanced understanding of penetration testing concepts and incident response reporting
• Working knowledge of modern identity and access management concepts such as Single Sign On (SSO), Access Provisioning, Directory Management, Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
• Knowledge or experience in working with and/or managing vulnerability scanners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Demonstrated experience representing the organization participating in oral presentations and briefings to Government leaders
• 7+ years of relevant experience building and maintaining a corporate security infrastructure
• Certified information systems security professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or related information security certifications preferred.
