The position is a multimodality tech which will be performing XR and CT exams supporting the current growth in ED, OR and Imaging procedures.
$15,000 w/min of 12 months of experience; requires a 2 year commitment.
Location: 1405 S Alma School Road, Chandler AZ
Schedule: Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 6:30am to 7:00pm. 3 days a week with 12 hour shifts. We do have a holiday cover rotation. We offer a night and weekend shift differentials.
The technologist must have the following licenses and certifications: ARRT, MRTBE (state) and BLS. During the weekday day shifts we have three multimodality techs and two for nights and weekends to cover both CT and X-ray. Currently we are performing the following exams: general, invasive, musculoskeletal, limited neurology (stroke), cardiovascular, etc. In Medical Imaging we provide services for inpatients, ED, OBS, ICU (MOSU), Women’s Infant Services (WIS), Acute Care and outpatients. We are not stroke, chest, or trauma certified yet. We perform invasive cases and OR as needed. Banner Ocotillo Medical Center is a small facility that operates with minimum staff on site. BOMC has the capacity up to 120 beds. Our daily average of patient exams is for CT 32 and for X-ray 32. The multi-modality technologist will be performing a variety of CT and X-ray exams, transporting patient to and from Medical Imaging, performing equipment QA, Cerner and PACS QA, follow established protocols and policies, getting the department ready for regulatory inspections, complete required documentation, etc. Equipment used: CT: One CT machine -GE Revolution EVO (originally 64 slices but the update 128 slices), X-ray: Diagnostic room and portables: Carestream; C-arms: GE and Fluoro: Philips. Banner Ocotillo Medical Center is a new, comprehensive medical center located in Chandler, AZ. The hospital has 124 beds with ample shelled space for future growth. The hospital offers key inpatient and outpatient services, such as emergency care, intensive care, endoscopy, cardiac catheterization, imaging, surgical and women’s services. The hospital utilizes cutting-edge technology to improve safety and quality, including robotic surgeries, UV disinfecting lighting, and smart devices for all caregivers.POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
2. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed as well as risk factors and prevention. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes
3. Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
4. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies.
5. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies.
6. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
7. Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department by performing other duties as assigned. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
