Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant III - Neurosurgery

Neurosurgery NP/PA (Advanced Practice Provider) position for inpatient and outpatient practice caring for vascular, cranial, and spine neurosurgical patients. Consists of inpatient and clinic management, OR first assist, and first call including stroke response. In-house call shifts approximately once per week, days and nights covered with post-call day off. Opportunities to participate in research and education available. Neurosurgery experience preferred, new grads will be considered with ideal qualifications.

During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question – Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FLRN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, ACNP.  

Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.  

Additional Qualifications: 

Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required
