Design Apprentice – Color & Concept

New York, NY 

Work Structure – Hybrid (3 Days)

 

Primary Purpose: The Design Apprentice, Color & Concept will collaborate on design team for each season that are fashion driven and reflective of the creative vision and Coach aesthetic. You will be a part of a dynamic, creative environment where you will collaborate with talented designers and cross-functional partners in the business. 
 
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Design to...  

  • Based off direction given by Color and Concept team, research seasonal concept ideas that align with brand vision, story for the season, market trends and the global merchandising briefs
  • Coordinate collection of materials, CADs, and samples for key milestones
  • Help organize presentation boards and assist in the preparation of meetings
  • Help maintain seasonal color palette, both digital and physical
  • Conduct creative research as it relates to collaborations, special projects, vintage research, and larger picture brand work
  • Knowledge and passion for photography, art history, graphic design a plus

  • Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once
  • Must be flexible with the ability to self-manage 
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be a collaborative, team player with great initiative

 
 
An outstanding professional will have...  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design or related field (preferred)
  • 0-2 years’ experience in Color & Concept design
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Proven ability to sketch and spec 
  • Strong color sense  
  • Fashion/luxury brand experience, a plus
