Visitor Control Center Specialist – Full Time

Amentum is seeking cleared, full-time Visitor Control Specialists to support secured facilities. The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Issue badges (retention, temporary, or visitor) in accordance with the appropriate clearance level of the individual requiring access, or when appropriate, guest decals for social or ceremonial functions.
- Conduct fingerprinting; produce credentials and passport/ISOPREP photos.
- Issue CAC cards.
- Conduct inspections utilizing X-Ray and walk-through/handheld metal detection.
- Periodically perform duties as a floor trainer for incoming visitor control specialists.
- Must be able to work any VC shift (including weekends) at all VC posts.
- Must be able to be relocated to a different VC post due to callouts as required by Supervisor.
- Must maintain professionalism and provide the highest level of customer service to site affiliates and visitors.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must successfully complete eighty (80) hours of VC training prior to being selected for position.
- High School Diploma or GED
- U.S. citizen
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license in good standing.
- Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) with polygraph.
- Currently live within a 75-mile radius of San Antonio, TX .
- 0-2 years of similar Access Control experience in a secure environment.
- Read, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
- Ability to complete written reports and forms.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be available to work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday, as determined by Amentum, per year.
- You must be able to work 1st Shift: (5:30am - 1:30pm) Monday-Friday (SHIFT +/- 1 hour), 2nd Shift: (1:30pm - 9:30pm) Monday-Friday (SHIFT +/- 1 hour) or 3rd Shift: (9:30pm-5:30am) Sunday- Thursday (SHIFT +/- 1 hour) shift based on contract needs; this work supports 24/7 operations, and you may be assigned challenging shifts, but it will be worth it!
Physical requirements:
You need to be physically able to perform all duties and functions as specified;
- You need to see well and be able to prove it. You should have 20/20 vision (with glasses and contacts if needed) and close vision correctable to Jaeger No. 4 type test for both eyes;
- You need to be free of color blindness;
- You should have normal fields of vision and good depth perception, as defined by the Snellen chart;
- You need to be able to have hearing which is correctable to normal level hearing with hearing aids. Normal hearing levels are demonstrated by a pure tone audiometry hearing level (HL) of 0 decibels (dB) or lower; and
- You need to be able to stand continuously for 4 hours at a time.
Salary and Other Compensation: The starting hourly rate for this position is between $15.85-$27.36 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
