Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): 

Support a seminar-based course that culminates in final projects/presentations by assisting with attendance and discussion leadership, and serving as lead stage manager for the final presentation—tracking project needs and coordinating with the professor to support each student’s work.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Take attendance and flag any student issues that may require professor attention
  • Lead select seminar discussions (topics coordinated with the professor)
  • Serve as Lead Stage Manager for the final presentation:
    • Maintain working knowledge of each student’s final project format and needs
    • Coordinate logistics and flow (order, transitions, timing) with the professor
    • Support accommodation planning and access needs in collaboration with the professor and students
    • Help ensure the final presentation is organized, supported, and respectfully facilitated

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)

  • Strong reliability and organizational skills; calm under deadline pressure
  • Comfort facilitating discussion and supporting a seminar environment
  • Experience with performance production, stage management, or event coordination preferred
  • Ability to track multiple projects simultaneously and communicate clearly with students and professor
  • Careful attention to confidentiality, boundaries, and respectful handling of sensitive/values-based content
