As a Test Engineer II in the Therapy Delivery Systems Test Development Lab, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health portfolios. Your contributions will ensure the reliability and safety of our groundbreaking medical devices, helping to improve the quality of life for many patients.
A Day in the Life
As a Test Engineer II, you will:
Develop and execute test methods: Design, develop, validate, and implement test methods for therapy delivery systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Perform system-level testing: Evaluate product performance, reliability, and safety under simulated and real-world conditions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to identify requirements, resolve issues, and optimize product designs.
Analyze data and report findings: Use statistical tools and software to analyze test results and present findings to stakeholders.
Support product development: Contribute to the design verification and validation (DV&V) process by identifying risks, proposing mitigations, and ensuring adherence to timelines.
Maintain compliance: Ensure all testing activities align with Medtronic’s quality system requirements and applicable industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, IEC).
Innovate and improve: Identify opportunities to enhance testing methodologies, tools, and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Must-Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is required preferably in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of relevant engineering experience, or advanced degree
Nice to Have
Experience in medical device testing, particularly with Neuromodulation or Pelvic Health devices.
Familiarity with FDA, TUV, and ISO regulations, including design controls and risk management.
Proficiency with test equipment, software tools (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB), and data analysis techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and project management skills.
