Summary of Job Duties:
The Court Observation Arkansas (COAR) Project is a research project collecting data about the Arkansas criminal justice system by observing proceedings in Arkansas courts and conducting judicial interviews. COAR has completed its data collection. COAR Data Fellows will assist in the qualitative analysis of the data collected. The COAR Data Fellows will work closely with Program Director Zoya Miller and Principal Investigator Professor Boles.The Extra Help Assistant is responsible for providing unskilled, semi-skilled labor or performing basic office tasks in a state agency or institution. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled at the UA Little Rock;
Available to work 15 hours per week during the semester for two consecutive semesters.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Learn about court processes and procedures;
Analyze qualitative data from judicial interviews.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with qualitative data analysis;
Excellent writing skills;
Ability to work independently;
Detail oriented;
Exhibit professionalism and confidentiality;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to organize and prioritize.
