What You Will Be Doing
- Drive Elastic's sales strategy for Defense Agencies, delivering tailored solutions for operational and cybersecurity needs.
- Cultivate relationships with military and defense agency leadership, identifying opportunities to support mission success with Elastic’s products.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders and system integrators to design and implement Elastic solutions for joint and multi-domain operations.
- Partner with internal teams to craft compelling proposals and ensure alignment with federal acquisition requirements.
- Stay abreast of evolving mission priorities, defense funding trends, and technological advancements.
- Represent Elastic at defense industry events, briefings, and conferences to showcase capabilities and build partnerships.
- Deep understanding of Defense Agency missions, DISA/4th Estate structures, and operational requirements.
- Proven success in defense sales, business development, or program management within the public sector.
- Familiarity with Security Operations Centers (SOCs), AI/ML, data analytics, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into mission value.
- Experience navigating federal procurement processes and contracting vehicles.
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is strongly preferred.
- Military experience or prior collaboration with Defense Agency stakeholders.
- Expertise in operational planning, cybersecurity, or data analytics within defense environments.
Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component, that together comprise the On-Target Earnings (OTE). On-Target Earnings (OTE) are based on a 50/50 pay mix (base salary / target variable).
The typical starting OTE range for new hires in this role is listed below. This range represents the lowest to highest OTE we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
An employee's position within the OTE range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
