  • Location – Bega
  • Employment type – Ongoing Full-Time, 35 hours per week
  • Grade – Clerk Grade 5/6
  • Salary – $99,398 pa - $110,271 pa plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

This position is open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only.

 

Your role

 

Join the Aboriginal Services Unit (ASU) and help deliver culturally safe programs and initiatives that support Aboriginal clients and communities across the justice system. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by contributing to projects and services that improve outcomes for Aboriginal people and strengthen community engagement across the region.

 

What you’ll do

 

In this role, you will:

  • Support the delivery of Aboriginal Services Unit (ASU) projects, programs, and initiatives that improve outcomes for Aboriginal clients and communities
  • Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, manage resources, and assist in delivering key project outcomes
  • Assist with research, reporting, and service improvement activities to support effective and culturally responsive service delivery
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and day-to-day support to Aboriginal Client & Community Support Officers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, community organisations, and external service providers
  • Contribute to culturally safe practices and positive justice outcomes for Aboriginal clients and communities across the region

 

What we’re looking for

 

You will bring:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience delivering client-focused support services with empathy and professionalism
  • A commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A current unrestricted driver’s licence and willingness to travel if required (regional locations only)

  • is accepted as a such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
