Company Overview:

ArcelorMittal Projects Americas is a commecial organization involved in managing supply of steel packages for Oil & Gas Projects in Americas. Company is involved in imports of various steel products internationally and packaging and redistributing locally with additional logistics and supply chain support.

 

Responsibility:

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, to lead the accounts & finance team and undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.

 

Following are the key responsibilities and activities for the role:

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Preparation of regulatory reporting/ Financial reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Manage month-end and year-end close process     
• Cash flow forecasting and analysis
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Credit, Forex, Creditor Risk Management and Insurance
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Additional controller duties as necessary

 

Requirements and skills

• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller/ Finance manager in a large organization.
• 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Advanced degree in accounting
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (IFRS)
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user, experience of SAP accounting module would be an advantage
• Administration & people management skills
