As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence at a residential location. What You'll Do:
- Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into residential locations.
- Verify identification and credentials of residents, guests, and vendors according to site-specific policies.
- Provide customer service to residents and visitors by responding to inquiries and assisting with directions or access needs.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings and the perimeter to observe and report any unusual activities.
- Document and report security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or hazards to the appropriate parties.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during emergency response activities.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns within the residential community.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
