Greetings, friend.  Here at Second Dinner, we make award-winning MEGA hits.  Oof, maybe that’s not humble enough. But we did win a bunch of awards!  We have to say, it feels good.  And we want YOU to feel as good as we feel - come join us and we can win even more awards, together.  Let’s make a stamp on the industry and make the next game everyone won’t be able to stop talking about!

We’re a diverse studio and we believe varied perspectives will help us make this new game super broadly appealing. If you can bring something new to the table and expand our point of view, that's a huge upside. 

Oh yeah! We are fully remote too!  So there is literally no reason to not at least shoot over an application.  It’ll take you a few minutes and you have nothing to lose.  We are super nice!

This Specific Team (It’s a New Game!)

We are at the very beginning of our journey into a brand new game.  It’s real real real fun (is there a “too fun”?  Because we are worried it might be “too fun”). But we know that a fun game without snappy controls and great UI/UX is like encasing a grilled cheese sandwich in epoxy: You’ll be prevented from getting to the good stuff.

This team that you will join is 4 folks right now.  So we're inviting you to dive in, roll up your sleeves, and become a cornerstone of this project alongside us!

As the pioneer UI/UX maestro—you will have carte blanche to do whatever you want to make the UI and UX super amazing! You'll have a blank canvas where you can unleash your design wizardry to transform the UI and UX into a masterpiece! Our mission? Crafting a game that transcends boundaries! We're talking about a game that caters to every gender, age, and any other characteristic you can think of. It's all about creating an inclusive, exciting, and downright delightful experience for players of all walks of life. 

Utilizing your design superhero powers—whether it's UX, mobile, or interaction design—you’ll weave together every aspect of the game seamlessly. We want it to be not just cohesive, but intuitive and as easy as pie to use. We're not just looking for someone good; we're on the hunt for the design virtuoso, armed with not only world-class design skills but also exceptional communication prowess.

What You’ll Do:

• Define what the UI/UX style of this game is

• Create awesome wireframes and prototypes

• Direct motion design through storyboards or prototypes for fun and intuitive UI transitions and interactions

• Collaborate with the team to create systems that don’t put UI/UX folks in impossible positions

  • UI/UX is critical - you’ll need to tell people to redesign things that you think are going to make the UX bad.  Or help them redesign it.

• Design tests and utilize data to improve UX

• Make it look and feel great

• Put it in the build

• Celebrate!

Does this sound like you?

• You have crafted intuitive and fun User Interfaces on Mobile

• You have experience in Match-3 or other puzzle games

• You can render high quality UI elements

• You get people psyched about your bold new ideas

• You like working directly in a game engine

The total compensation for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $130,000 - $220,000 USD + equity + comprehensive benefits + potential for discretionary performance bonuses.

Individual pay within this salary range may span multiple levels within the discipline and is determined by assessed job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training.
