The Role at a Glance

 

We are hiring an Alfresco Architect, to work from home for our IT Enterprise solutions team.

 

Background Details:

 

As Lincoln continues its technology transformation, digitization of enterprise content is a concentrated area of focus.  This presents a significant opportunity for an Alfresco architect to lead the implementation of the future state content platform.  The successful candidate will work with both IT and business partners across the enterprise to evangelize, educate, and drive adoption of the enterprise solution.
The Hyland Alfresco Architect works as part of the enterprise content management team and provides guidance to project teams looking to integrate with the Alfresco platform.  The architect serves as the technical subject matter expert for the platform.  The overall scope of responsibilities for the role include design, development, and operational support of the platform.  The architect will have an in-depth understanding of the OpenMigrate (OM) tool and the Alfresco Digital Business platform including:

 

  • Alfresco Content Services (ACS)
  • Content model design & development
  • Search and indexing
  • User Interfaces (UI) - Alfresco Digital Workspace (ADW) / Share
  • Alfresco Governance Services (AGS)

 

What you'll be doing

 

  • Acts as technical SME for the Alfresco platform and OM for LFG development teams. 
  • Provides insights on architectural and integration decisions relating to project/enterprise requirements.
  • Aids in design and development of content models.
  • Provides feedback and technical expertise during OM config design and implementation.
  • Delivers design documentation in relation to Alfresco and its integrations.
  • Provides operational support through an on-call rotation.
  • Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends.
  • Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: making suggestions for improvement and learning new skills, procedures, and processes.
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.  
  • Performs under stress in cases of emergency, critical or hazardous situations.
  • Works with others in a team environment.

 

What we’re looking for

 

Must-haves:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting Alfresco (v6/v7 preferred) in a large enterprise including ACS and AGS
  • Ability to create and implement architecture design processes and artifacts (reference architectures and conceptual/logical/physical designs)
  • Custom content model design, development, and deployment
  • Platform extension development using Alfresco SDK
  • Development, management, and maintenance of the Alfresco Share and ADW UIs
  • Ability to implement OM tool and integration capabilities
  • Understanding of CI/CD technologies and processes - GitLab / GitHub
  • Understanding of capabilities and application of REST APIs
  • Strong soft skills which include the ability to collaborate across various functions
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7-10 years work experience

  • Alfresco Cloud PaaS experience 
  • Docker container experience
  • Knowledge of user provisioning and identity management integrations relating to Alfresco 
  • Software design
  • Insurance and Financial industry experience 
  • Hyland Alfresco certification
