Job Title: Faculty (Rank TBD) - Medical Sonography - 994688 Location: Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida Work Type: Full Time with Full Benefits Job Category: Exempt Hiring Range: Commensurate with experience Pay Basis:Annually
Subject to Grant Funding?: No Essential Job Functions: 1. Introduction to laboratory setting and reviews of professional behavior in the laboratory.2. Reviews the ultrasound system including features and functions of both imaging and physiologic equipment.
3. Assures proper care and cleaning of laboratory equipment including stretchers and computer equipment.
4. Develops lesson plans in coordination with didactic instructors.
5. Develops schedules and rotations for student in the lab.
6. Designs proper imaging and testing protocols for students.
7. Develops testing guidelines for testing competency including midterm and final examination.
8. Assists in clinical site visits and evaluations.
9. Provides tutoring for students when required.
10. Assists other faculty as required. Marginal Job Functions: Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
2. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
3. Ability to effectively present information to student, public groups, or professional organization.
4. Ability to work with appropriate mathematical concepts specific to the particular discipline.
5. Ability to apply concepts to practical situations.
6. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
7. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables simultaneously.
8. Adaptability and willingness to teach courses and/or perform special duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Required Certifications/Licensures: Candidate must be a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Major (if required): Required Experience: 1. Candidate must be registered in Vascular Sonography (through ARDMS, CCI, and/or ARRT).
2. Minimum one year of clinical experience.
3. Must obtain a Master's Degree in Education, Sciences, or other related area of specialization within five years of employment. Preferred Qualifications: Is this a safety sensitive position? No Background Screening Required? No Pre-Employment Conditions:
